These SHOTO are made by NIIDOME Bokuto in Miyakonojo, Kyushu. In the past, Miyakonojo accounted for more than 80% of the bokken making market in Japan.

This company keeps the traditional way of manufacturing, such as the drying of natural materials (wood) so as not to destroy the fibers; so our SHOTOs are strong and sturdy and can be used for a long time.

NIDOME uses wood from trees over 70 years old.
