Japanese Towel

Tenugui is a multipurpose Japanese traditional towel used in kendo, for cooking and in a wide variety of areas. It is also a simple and original gift.

You can wrap it around the neck or it can be worn on the head when practicing Kendo.

  • Nihon Tenugui

    Tenugui is a traditional rectangular multi-purpose cotton towel of about 36 x 90 cm.
    Japanese martial arts practitioners put a tenugui in their keikogi to wipe their face and Kendoka uses to cover their head.
    But it can also be used as a kitchen towel or hand towel, to wrap different objects, or just as a decoration.
