This SHOTO is made from Japanese oak from Kyushu (the southern region of Japan) by MATSUZAKI in Miyakonojo, Kyushu.

This company keeps the traditional way of manufacturing, such as the drying of natural materials (wood) so as not to destroy the fibers; so our SHOTOs are strong and sturdy and can be used for a long time.

NIDOME uses wood from trees over 70 years old.
