Iwata is the most popular Japanese makers of Aikido Gi.
This uniform is robust but softer than standard Aikido keikogi.
It is suitable for people who participate in tournaments  frequently because it is robust and durable enough to withstand intense and long  practice.

-This uniform is thicker than 200S / 200AS and thicker than standard uniforms.

- There are no stitches at the back. If you feel confortable without stitches at the back,
it is suitable for you.

- This uniform set is bleached but needs to be washed before you use it, otherwise the Dogi size will be a little too big to practice aikido.
(Bleached Uniform will also shrink for the first several washes like Unbleached.)

Keiko gi IWATA were created for Aikidoka for over 100 years.
Any providers can buy AIKIKAI labels but IWATA is the sole supplier of AIKIKAI in Tokyo.
Doshu and Shihan AIKIKAI use also Dogi IWATA.

How to wash this Keikogi
Use a washing machine with detergent and choose cold water or cool water under 30 degree at maximum so that the dogi doesn't shrink or gets damaged.
Put it open wide for quickly drying.
You could also use bleach for better cleaning but maximum twice per year
at maximum for keeping the cloth in good condition.

-About shrinkage of Keikogi
It shrinks about 10cm per year but also depends on the frequency of washing and
the water temperature.
