JO is a wooden stick used in Japanese martial arts (AIKIDO, JODO, etc.). This model of Jo is a standard one in terms of length, weight and diameter.

These jo are made from Japanese oak in Kyushu (the southern part of Japan ) by NIIDOME Bokuto Seisakujo at Miyakonojo. This company keeps the traditional way of manufacture, such as  drying the materials (wood) naturally not to destroy the fibers of oak; therefore our jo are solid and robust and you can use them for a long time.

NIIDOME Company uses the materials  which comes from a tree about 70 years old.
